Mrs. Victoria (Majka) Ziemba of 16 Pine St., Ludlow, died at her home Thursday night after a long illness. She was born in Poland and came to this country 60 years ago. She had resided in Ludlow for the past 52 years. She was a member of Christ the King Church, the Sacred Heart Sodality, the Women's Rosary Sodality and the Polish Women's Citizen's Club. She leaves her husband, Michael J. Ziemba; four sons, Frank Ziemba of Agawam, John Ziemba of Waltham, Theodore Ziemba of Ware and Mitchell Ziemba of Indian Orchard; four daughters, Mrs. Julia Rolla of Ware, Mrs Rose Schumacher of Canton, O., Mrs. Nellis Opalinski of Wilbraham and Mrs. Evelyn Pereira of Ludlow; two sisters, Mrs. Antonina Orszulak of Danielson, Conn., and Miss Bertha Majka in Poland; two brothers, Stanley and Joseph Majka, both in Poland, and 14 grandchildren. The funeral will be held at the Ludlow funeral home Monday morning. Burial will be in St. Aloysius Cemetery in Indian Orchard Visiting hours will be today and Sunday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. Members of the Sacred Heart Sodality are requested to meet at the funeral home tonight at 8 to recite the rosary. © The Union, Springfield, MA, 1 Oct 1960
