Francis "Ray" Cooper, 75, Winifred,
Kansas, died Sunday June 24, 1973, at the
Marshall County Nursing center after a
lingering illness.
Services were held at the Padden Chapel
at Frankfort, Kansas, Wednesday morning,
June 27, 1973 at 10:00 a.m. with the
Reverend Coyne Gifford, Presbyterian
pastor, officiating at the services, Mrs.
Forgy furnished the music.
The son of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Cooper, he
was born December 5, 1897, in Marshall
County, and spent his lifetime in the county.
for many years he operated the Center
township road patrol.
Preceding him in death were his parents,
one sister, five brothers and his wife.
Survivors are three sons and four
Daughters, Cecile E. Cooper, Lincoln,
Nebraska; Kenneth R. Cooper, Mrs. Donald
(Mary) Gastmann, both of Blue Rapids,
Kansas; Fred "Butch" Cooper, Sheridan,
Wyoming; Mrs. Charles (Alice) Douglas;
Mrs. Jack (Barbara) Falteg; Miss Nina
Cooper, all of St. Joseph, Missouri; one
Sister, Mrs. Ernest Venable, two brothers,
A.C. Cooper and Leonard Cooper, all of
Marysville, Kansas; seventeen grand-
Children and ten great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were John Sanderson,
Marvin Richardson, Walter Foley, Ed
Foley, Carl Seematter and Nick
Vogelsberg.

Burial was in Frankfort Cemetery
