Viola "Ola" Clements was the daughter of Jesse John Clements and his second wife Mary Elizabeth Jane Graham Clements. Viola married John Abraham Hays in West Carroll parish Louisiana and they later moved to Texas and Oklahoma. They were parents of Martha, Mary, James, Jesse, Hattie, Amanda and Effie Hays. Viola and John Hays are at rest in Canute cemetery.
