Mrs. Walker, a nurse for the Lincoln County Health Department for 30 years, was born in Rockingham County, daughter of the late William and Martha Fargis. She was a graduate of Elon College and Cabarrus School of Nursing. She also held a degree in public health from UNC-Chapel Hill. She worked as a coordinator for Lincoln County Christian Ministries and was a winner of the Lincoln County Woman of the Year award. She was a member of Covenant Bible Church.
Survivors are her husband, Clyde Walker Sr
