Daughter of "Santiago" James Annis Lafferty and Martina Martinez died as an infant. She had one full sister Socorro Jimme Laffert born 1929. Olga never made a census. Her sister Socorro is on the 1930 Mexican census as being 8 months old making her born in 1929 Sept. It is my fathers hand writing. You have to think about Mexico getting over a revolution, records burned and her birth may not have been registered is she was born at the ranch. When she went to get a copy of her birth certificate she could not find her birth registration or certificate. The only registration was a baby girl born in 1932 (which most Olga) So they issued Socorro the birth date of Sep 15, 1932 that is what she used. No they were not twins. It was a error in the registration. Mexico is so far behind that when I sent for my birth certificate, it was typed out in an old type written and they misspelled the place my dad was born. Socorro was born in 1929 and her sister 1932. In Mexico I can not just send of $10 and order a birth certificate. I have to hire a person to do this for me and it runs from $100 to $200. The Birthdate on Socorro's stone comes from the date she used and is incorrect. If Olga was born on the ranch chances are there is no marker. Their mother Martina lived on the ranch with Jim Lafferty. On the census taken in 1930 she is living in her home with her other 3 children from her first marriage and another 2 children that she had after she was widowed. Plus Socorro.
