Ruie (Brantley) Nugent, age 89, of Winnfield, LA, died Tuesday, February 24, 2004, at Winn Parish Medical Center in Winnfield, LA. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Winnfield. She was also a member of Delta Kappa Gamma Society and Retired Teacher's Association.
Arrangements were under the direction of Southern Funeral Home, Winnfield, LA. Services were at 10 a.m. Thursday, February 26, 2004 at the First Baptist Church of Winnfield with Reverend Lindsey Burns officiating. Interment was in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Winnfield, LA.
Ruie Nugent is survived by her one daughter and son-in-law Candace and Lamar Tarver of Winnfield, LA; two grandchildren Jason Tarver and his wife Jennifer; and Jared Tarver.
Pallbearers were Jason Tarver, Jared Tarver, George Harrel, Dicky Heard, Tommy Straughan, Harold Tarver, Joe Dosher, and Richard Deville.
