Margaret (Maggie) Leah Houser was born on November 3, 1866, in Decatur, Illinois, To George Washington Houser and Margaret Mary Elizabeth Hornbeck Houser. Sometime prior to 1880 Maggie migrated to Clay County, Kansas with her Parents George and Margaret and siblings John, Edward, Elmer & Etta May. She married William Clark Fullerton in 1886. They had seven children in 20 years, George, Robert, Olive, Iva, Ava, Della & Arthur. William and Maggie homesteaded in Sheridan & Clay County Kansas, where their children attended Prairie schools in Goshen & Fact Townships. Sometime after 1910and by the 1920's Maggie, husband William and their children had migrated to Nebraska, where she continued raising their children on the Prairie homestead. By the 1930's Maggie with husband William had then migrated to Seattle Washington, to be close to her daughter Olive Fullerton Simms and her family. After the death of her husband William, Maggie moved to Arlington Washington to live with her youngest son Arthur Park Fullerton, on his small farm, where she lived out her life. She died on February 13, 1956, in Snohomish County, Washington, at the age of 89.
