Family Story:

January in Peetz Colorado.

It was that January we stopped in Lodgepole and visited the parents and things had not been going to good with them. The year before the two daughters families had lived near Peetz, Colorado and in a blizzard the Simms had a son very much wanted, but Lloyd William Simms only lived a few hours. They wanted him to be buried near dear Iva's grave. Neither Olive nor Ava were able to go but dear Robert Simms got to Peetz and bought a large white roaster and Grandma was there to help. They fixed the tiny body and with appropriate private services the sad daddy soldered the roaster shut and he made a rough box and put the box deep in the snow for a few weeks..

Grandma, Grandpa, Fullerton, Della and Arthur all went to the cemetery, and the men dug the grave at Iva's feet, for what reason nobody knows as George as well as the parents had 6 lots paid for.
