George W. Houser was the son of David and Leah Saunda Houser. He moved with his parents at the age of 3 to Macon County IL. He married Margaret Hornback on November 23, 1865 most likely in Macon Co. IL., as he then moved along with his family of four along with his brother John, (my gg grandfather)to Green Kansas in 1879.

Although Margaret's photo and inscription are on the stone along with George, she is not buried there. After his death she moved to California where she died in 1927 and she is buried there.

I viewed the stone in 1983 and again in 2002, and the photos still looked perfect at that time. No damage to them what so ever.

It would be my guess that she moved to her son Charles Edward's home in Atwater California.
