DONALD M. FORTNEY, 87, died Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2005, at Engle-swood Nursing Home,
Fort Wayne. Born in Dixon, Ohio, he was a welder with Fruehauf Truck
Manufacturing for 34 years, retiring in 1982. He was a U.S. Navy World War II
Veteran and a member of First Grace Brethren Church.

Survivors include wife, Jean H. Fortney of Fort Wayne; four sons, nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren and brothers, Esten Fortney, Morgan Fortney, Arlo
Fortney and Harold Fortney, all of Convoy, Ohio, and Vance Fortney of Fort
Wayne. He was preceded in death by his brother, Gene Fortney; one sister, Helen
Plumley.

Service is 10 a.m. Saturday at D.O. McComb & Sons Foster Park, 6301 Fairfield
Ave. Calling is from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 2 to 5 p.m. Friday at the funeral
home. Graveside service is noon Saturday at Woodland Cemetery, Van Wert, Ohio.
Burial in Woodland Cemetery, Van Wert.
