Viola Maxine Burch

ARCOLA -- Viola Maxine Burch, 87, of Arcola died at 8:25 p.m. Monday (July 28, 2008) at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center.

A graveside service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Arcola Cemetery. Shrader Funeral Home in Arcola is assisting the family with arrangements.

She was born July 3, 1921, in Chesterville, the daughter of Burr W. and Mae Wolfe Grant. She married Donald Adams; he preceded her in death. She later married Raymond G. Burch in 1944; he died in 1969.

Survivors include one son, Jimmie Lee Adams of Shelbyville, Ind.; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by seven brothers and four sisters.

Mrs. Burch had worked as a housekeeper, baby sitter, and caregiver for many families in Arcola.

Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
