Wife of William Patton Jarrett, married 24 Nov 1857. Headstone reads '93 yrs 11 mo 7 days'. Maiden name: Howell. She was the daughter of Rev James Collins Howell & Mourning Garrett. She was born in Waynesville, Haywood, NC. She was the last surviving widow of Confederacy in Clay County, NC. Three sons died some years ago in the West. In 1880 they moved to Clay Co.from Haywood Co a few miles from Hayesville,NC. Thanks to Jarrett/Garrett family member, Cate Jarrett for this information and to Roger Burnett.
