INWOOD DRIVER KILLED IN ACCIDENT
Father of Six Crash Victim
Francis H. Keyser, 40, of Inwood, father of six children, was killed instantly early this morning when his unloaded oil takner hit a trailer truck head-on, two and one-half miles south of Milford on State Road 15.
The driver of th other truck, Albert Rowe, 37, of Elkhart was pinned in his tractor for two hours after the accident. Officials had to roll the overturned tractor away before Rowe could be extricated.
He was removed to McDonald Hospital, Warsaw, with a fractured leg and scalp injuries.
Keyser was driving a tanker owned by his employer, the Rose Fuel and Material Corp., South Bend. Rowe was hauling a trailer loaded with castings into South Bend for the Shipper's Dispatch Company.
State Trooper Wallace Manrow and Kosciusko County Deputy Sheriff Cecil Latta investigated. They have been unable to determine the cause of the accident.
Keyser was born in Marshall County, April 5, 1916. He lived in Inwood for the past five years. He came to Inwood from Mishawaka where he resided for six years.
In 1943 he married the former Miss Frances Taveneer, who survives. Also surviving are twin daughters and four sons.
They are Barbara 11, Jennifer 3, Larry 12, Jerry 6, Kenneth 3 (a twin to Jennifer), and Dennis 2.
Also surviving are four sisters, and two brothers; Mrs. Oscar Krou, and Mrs. Eugene McGriff, both of Plymouth; Mrs. Everett Worsham, Bourbon; Mrs. Marion Carter, Culver; Mcharles of Culver, and LaMarr, USAF, Cheyenne, Wyoming.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. Friday at the Bubb Funeral Home, Mishawaka. Services will be held from the home at 2 p.m. Saturday. Burial will be in the St. Joe Valley Memorial Park Cemetery, South Bend.
