Florence E. McGriff, 87,222 Parkview Street, Plymouth, Indiana passed away Friday, April 14, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. at Pilgrim Manor Nursing Home, Plymouth.
Florence was born on June 22, 1918 at Plymouth, to Oliver and Ethel (Baker) Keyser. Florence and Eugene Dale McGriff were married in Plymouth on March 1, 1939. He passed away on May 21, 1993. Florence lived with her son, Richard, for eight years, before moving back to Plymouth.She was loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
Florence was a member of the First United Church of Christ, Plymouth. Her main joy was teaching Sunday School, which she did for many years.
Florence is survived by her sons, Jon (Mona) McGriff of Argos, Indiana; and Richard (Patricia) McGriff of Waurika, Oklahoma. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Ashley (Cole)Morris of Jacksonville, Florida, Autumn McGriff of Wichita Falls, Texas; Jason McGriff of South Bend, Indiana and Robin Wirebaugh of Milford, Indiana; her sister Betty Worsham of Tippecanoe, Indiana; and her brother Lamar Keyser of Plymouth. Burial will be in New Oak Hill Cemetery, Plymouth.
A time of visiting and sharing memories with the McGriff family will be on Tuesday, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Van Gilder Funeral Home, 300 West Madison Street, Plymouth, Indiana 46563.
The family requests that memorial contributions be given to the First United Church of Christ, Sunday School.
