SISTERS UNDERGO KNIFE; ONE DIES
Clara Danielson, of Aberdeen, Fails to Stand Shook
MONTESANO, Oct. 5. Clara Danielson, wife of Al Danielson, now employed in the, Aberdeen shipyards, died at Portland last night as a result of an operation for goiter.
Mrs. Danielson, and her sister-in-law, Mrs. Elmer Olson, of this place, were both operated on yesterday, in a Portland hospital for the same trouble. Mr. Olson was with them during the operation and until both were pronounced out of danger. He then started for home and had not yet arrived when a telephone message from the hospital announced the death of Mrs. Danielson and that Mrs. Olson was very weak from the shock. The message came to Deputy Sheriff Gibson, whose wife is a sister of Mr. Olson. Mr. Olson, Miss Bertha Gibson and Miss Neta Brisco, left this city on the Owl for Portland while Mr. Gibson notified Mr. Danielson, at Aberdeen and Mrs. Danielson's father, Amos Olson, of North River.
Besides her husband Mrs. Danielson leaves two little children.
