Flossie Alene Anderson

Flossie A. "Flo" Anderson, 91, formerly of 4630 Rose of Sharon Road, Thompsonville, died Thursday, May 1, 2003, at her residence in Eldorado.

She was born June 8, 1911, in Hamilton County to Arthur and Pearlie Johnson Cluck.

She was a homemaker and a 45-year member of Lebanon Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

During WWII, she was employed at the Ordnance Plant and the Evansville Shipyards.

She married Fred E. Rowe on May 11, 1929, and he preceded her in death in 1933. On Jan. 28, 1942, she married Ralph W. Anderson, and he preceded her in death on May 18, 1970.

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Judy and David Collins of Equality; two granddaughters and their husbands, Kara Beth and Ross Lloyd of Eldorado and Krystal Kay and Aaron Gulley of Harrisburg; and two great-grandsons, Ian Kile Lloyd and Jack Anderson Gulley.

Also surviving are two sisters, Carrie Ogden of Ziegler and Geraldine Galbraith of Galatia; a brother, Donald Cluck of Galatia; several nieces and nephews; and a special niece, Patricia J. Cluck.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Audrey Wright and Roberta Cowgur; and a brother, Forrest Cluck.

Services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, May 4, 2003, at the Sloan Funeral Home in Galatia with the Rev. Jerry Williams and the Rev. Ron Johnson officiating. Burial will be at the Masonic Cemetery in Benton.

Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, May 3, 2003, at the funeral home.

The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to the Lebanon Cemetery Fund or the Visiting Nurses Association of Eldorado.
