Death Claims Mrs Nancy S. Walker on Saturday, May 7th
Mrs Nancy S. Walker, aged 73 years, died at her home here about 10:30 am Saturday and was buried Sunday at Pine Hill [Pine Grove] Cemetery, Rev R. E. Pearson, of Little Creek, conducting the funeral services. Mrs Walker was well known in Jena and LaSalle Parish. She was an aunt of Jesse Walker, who met death here last year when a cave-in occurred at a gravel pit.
Besides her husband, T. F. Walker, she is survived by four brothers, Genie Edwards, Abbie Edwards, Oliver Edwards, and Billy Edwards; two sisters, Mrs. Malicia Scarborough and Mrs Jesse Smith, all of this parish.
