P. M. Delp, 68, died at his home in Crockett Saturday night, April 12, 1947, after a lingering illness.
Surviving are the widow; three sons, Odis Delp, Shenandoah; Omer Delp, Dante, and Rex Delp, at home, formerly employed in Galax; three daughters, Mrs. W. H. Bowyer, Mrs. Cloyd Howe and Mrs. Luther Williams; one brother, Eli Delp; two half-brothers, Friel Delp and Mitchell Delp, Comers Rock, and one half-sister, Mrs. Newt Gamble, Union, Ore.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at King's Grove Methodist Church, near Crockett, by the pastor, Rev. G. W. Armbrister, of the Rural Retreat circuit. Interment was in the King's Grove cemetery.
