Mary was a daughter of Timothy Howley and his wife, Susan Fitzgerald. She married Jule Thibedeau, a son of Jule Thibedeau and his second wife, Zephrenia Nubois. Mary and Jule were married in Ontario, Canada around 1874. They had seventeen children; six dying prior to 1900. Mary and Jule came to America in the early 1880's. They farmed in Washburn County, Wisconsin.
