Joseph M. Mayo, 48, of 1627 Pine Street, died at his home early this morning as a result of a heart attack. Firemen had been called but the use of the resuscicator proved unavailing.
Mayo, who was employed by a local plywood company, is survived by his wife, Inez Mayo; three children, Joe M. Mayo, Jr., Herbert Austin Mayo and Mrs Betty Jean (Mayo) Rock; his father, James S. Mayo; and the following brothers and sisters: Smead Mayo, Mrs Inez Parsons, Mrs Leona Cornelius and Mrs Edna Stinger, all of Eureka; Paul Mayo of Cisco Tex., and Wesley Mayo of Camden, Ark.
Services are pending with the Cooper Family Mortuary in charge of arrangements.
