He retired from Stewart – Warner where he was a machinist retiring in 1983.
He was a proud World War II Veteran. He served in the Army in France and Germany as a Sgt. He had maps and medals, which he treasured, from the battles in those countries.
He was a member of Moose #17. He and his wife, Alma, toured the U.S. while he participated in the ABC Bowling League. He and his brother, Jim, won several tournaments. Many vacations were planned around these tournaments with his brother, Jim, and his wife Geneva.
He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Alma J. Duncan of Indianapolis; his daughter Donna Shamley (Gary) of Clearwater, FL; son-in-law Al Holzer of Peoria, Il; 6 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Judy Holzer.
