Death of Mrs. Henry Hipple Sr.
Mrs. Harriet (Stipe) Hipple, wife of Henry Hipple, Sr., died at her home in this place on Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock, of liver complaint, without suffering much pain. She was a daughter of Henry Stipe and was born in Hinkletown, Lancaster county, 66 years ago the 4th of last March. She was married to Mr. Hipple by Rev. Mr. Schaffner, while her parents lived in Marietta and had she lived until the 1st of January they would have celebrated their golden wedding. Mrs. Hipple was the mother of fifteen children, only five of whom however are living and all residing in town with the exception of Henry, who is in Oklahoma. They are as follows: Mrs.
Andrew Rehrer, James, Henry, Mrs. Nathaniel Baker, Perry, George and John.
Henry is expected home.
The funeral will take place on Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the house, services in the Bethel church with Rev. G. W. Getz officiating.
