Janos came to America with Theresa and Anna in 1892. Julia Istenes Piller and Katherine came over in April 1896. Next came Michael in 1900 and Elizabeth in 1901. After his wife's death, in 1904, John became a little crazy. He lived with Theresa Bender and her husband John. After a period of time they placed him in a rest home in Painesville,Lake,Ohio. ( 1910 Census until death John is living in the Lake County Home as an inmate) There he carved his own grave marker with an epitaph saying that when he died he wanted it placed at the head of his grave. When he did die he was cremated and placed with Julia in Evergreen Cemetery in Painesville, Ohio. Some say that he had his ashes scattered by plane over and area near the river in Painesville,Ohio. This is not true. Per letter from Katherine Piller Kiraly dated July 4,1973 to C. Dotson, her father's ashes are buried with her mother, Julia Istenes Piller, in Evergreen Cemetery. Julia's headstone is a sandstone cross, as of 2005 there are no markings on the stone, they have worn off with time. C. Dotson contacted the web site for the transcriptions for Evergreen Cemetery and provided information so that it would not be lost forever. John Piller worked at the rest home in Painesville,Ohio, as a Farm Laborer, as told by Katherine Piller Kiraly 8-1976. Per letter from Katherine Piller Kiraly on 10-29-1972, John Piller played the violin. Per John Piller's death certificate, it lists his employment as a farmer.
