Dorothy M. Mahon, 92, of St. Peter, died at 8:50 p.m. Sunday, May 19,2002, at St. Anthony's Hospital, Effingham.
Services were to be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday at Pagel Funeral Home, St. Peter, with the Rev. Jim Ziegler officiating. Visitation was to be 2 hours prior to service time on Wednesday. Burial was to be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, rural St. Peter. Memorials: Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
Mrs. Mahon was born April 3,1909, the daughter of John F. and Mamie M.(Smith) McMillan. She was a member of the Macedonia Christian Church, rural Farina. She married Frank W. Mahon in 1927. He preceded her in death.
She is survived by sons, Glen and his wife Iris Mahon of St. Elmo, Robert Mahon of St. Peter, and Jack and his wife Judy Mahon of Salem; daughter, Virginia Lovett of St. Elmo and Claribell and he husband Harold Irvin of Urbana; sisters, Vontella and her husband Kenneth McEndollar of rural Farina, and Grace and her husband Stanley Stine of Loogootee, 14 grandchildren,23 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; grand-daughter Karen Beccue; great grandchildren, Donna Compton, Christopher Beccue, and Jennifer Gaines; and sons-in-law Ivan Lovett and Earl Gaines.
