Robert Ray Pinson age 78 of Edina, Missouri died Wednesday, July 5, 2006 at his home in Edina.

Born April 26, 1928 in Edina, Missouri he was a son of Alonzo Lincoln and Ora Natilee (Ross) Pinson.

On April 14, 1949 in Edina, Missouri he was united in marriage to Eva Mae Goodwin and she preceded him in death on July 17, 1999.

Surviving are one son; one daughter; two sisters; eleven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by his parents, one son, Steve Pinson, four brothers, Marion Leroy Pinson, Edwin Campbell Pinson, Paul Cooper Pinson, Albert Pinson and two sisters, Mary Whitmire and Mildred Dorothy Green.

Mr. Pinson was a life long resident of Edina. For several years he and his brother LeRoy operated the Pinson Trucking Business. He was an owner and partner for twenty years in the Edina Auction Market. Robert and his wife, Eva operated the Arrowhead Cafe in Edina for eight years. For the past several years he enjoyed landscaping and yard work for many Knox County residents. In the earlier years he had also been engaged in farming south of Edina.

He was a past member of the Edina City Council and was a member of the Assembly of God Church. His hobbies included arrowhead hunting, mushroom hunting and work was also his hobby. He especially enjoyed the time spent with his family, children and grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Sunday, July 9, 2006 at the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Edina, Missouri. Reverend Robert Stevens officiated. Carol Hayes, organist and Debbie Peters and Karen Stone vocalists, provided music.

Burial was in the Linville Cemetery at Edina, Missouri.
