Dennis L. Stoneburner, 62, of East Peoria, passed away Friday, August 9, 2013 at Proctor Hospital in Peoria.
He was born December 17, 1950 in Peoria, IL to Melvon and Betty (Feehan) Stoneburner. He married Christine Minor on May 6, 1978 in Washington, IL. He was preceded in death by his father and one brother, Richard Stoneburner.
Surviving is his wife of 35 years, Christine, his mother Betty, two children, Lisa Simmons of East Peoria, Fred Stoneburner of West Peoria and one step-son, Ronald (Jodi) Minor of East Peoria. Also surviving are one brother, Kevin Stoneburner of East Peoria and three sisters, Brenda (John) Yaunk, Debbie (Rob) Warfield both of East Peoria and Diane Null of Morton.
Dennis was the Co-Owner of J.D.L Lighting and Electric in Peoria since 1980 and retired from the business in 2005. He also owned several other area businesses through the years. Dennis and Chris were devoted to their family and built a thriving business together with the help of their son Fred. Dennis was a member of several area car clubs, was an avid Classic Car Enthusiast and especially loved Corvette's.
Burial will follow the service at Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria.
