Mrs. Fannie Smith Killed In Crystal Springs Tragedy

Mrs. Fannie Johnson Smith, 44, of Crystal Springs, one of the death victims of the bus – train crash at Crystal Springs, was coming to Jackson for a visit with relatives here.

Mr. and Mrs. Earl Patterson, of Jackson, had been to Crystal Springs to visit her and she had boarded the bus to return with them to Jackson. She was a member of the Methodist church and will be buried at the Old Crystal Springs cemetery.

Survivors include, two brothers, Lonnie Johnson and Willie Johnson, of Jackson, three sisters, Mrs. Graham Patterson, Jackson, Mrs. Forest Phillips and Mrs. Ernest Broadwater, of Crystal Springs. One niece, Mrs. R. R. Albright, of Jackson, also survives.

Mr. and Mrs. Patterson, her nephew and niece, also on the bus, were seriously injured.

Rites Held for Miss Fannie Smith Thursday 4:00 p.m.

Miss Fannie Smith, of this city, was a victim of the train - bus crash here Wednesday. Funeral services were held from the Mt. Pleasant Methodist Church Thursday afternoon at 4:00 o'clock and interment was made in Old Crystal Springs cemetery.

Survivors include two brothers, Lonnie Johnson and Willie Johnson of Jackson; three sisters, Mrs. Graham Patterson, Jackson; Mrs. Forest Phillips and Mrs. Ernest Broadwater, of Crystal Springs.
