Mrs. Mandie Viola Thompson, 81, of 1106 West 12th, Okmulgee, Ok., died Sunday night in a Tulsa hospital. She was born on November 17, 1882 in Hot Springs, Ark. She came from Arkansas to Okmulgee in 1914. She was a member of the Pentecostal Holiness Church. Her husband, Joe Thompson, preceded her in death on March 24, 1963. Survivors include two daughters; Mrs. Linnie Gorley and Miss Bertha Thompson of the home; three sons, Harvey Thompson of Tulsa, Floyd Thompson of Okemah, and Lloyd Thompson of 1221 West 8th, Okmulgee; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 3:30 pm in the Buchanan chapel with the Rev. Olin T. Craig, Northside Assembly of God church, officiating, assisted by the Rev. Cham Livingston of the Lighthouse Assembly of God church in Tulsa. Interment will be in the Okmulgee Cemetery under the direction of Buchanan Funeral Home.
