Born Nov. 2, 1918, in Rockland, Ohio, he was a son of the late Rev. Joseph E. and Nettie (Adams) Moore. He lived most of his life in the Canton area and retired from Diebold Inc. after 26 years of service. He was of the Church of God Pentecostal faith.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Leslie Moore.
Surviving are his wife of nearly 59 years, Nellie Moore; a son, James H. Moore at home; two daughters, Mrs. Donald (Linda M.) Macksyn of Canton and Mrs. Rick L. (Gwen E.) Imhoff of Massillon; two brothers, Wilbur Moore of Clermont, Fla., and Paul Moore of Orlando, Fla.; three sisters, Vada Hendrickson of Statesville, N.C., Betty Perdue of Hiddenite, N.C., and Ruth Ann McIndoe of Inman, S.C.; five grandchildren; and six great-granchildren .
The funeral is at 1 p.m. Friday in Reed Funeral Home. Burial is in North Lawn Cemetery.
Calling hours are 6-8 p.m. today and one hour before the service Friday in the funearl home.
