OLD RESIDENT OF ARCOLA IS DEAD

Arcola, Ill., Feb. 19. -- Mrs. Alice P. Bradbury, one of Arcola's oldest residents, died at her home Saturday, following a short illness.

Mrs. Bradbury, as Alice Ashbrook, was born in Johnston, O., in August, 1853, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eli Ashbrook.

She came with her parents to Illinois at the age of two years, and for a time resided in the vicinity of Humbolt. In May, 1872, she was married to Bennis B. Bradbury of Arcola, who passed away in July, 1928. To this union nine children were born. The surviving children are Glen W. Bradbury and Mrs. Maude A. Louthan of DeKalb, William J. Bradbury of Rochelle, Horton Bradbury of Tuscola, Miss Fannie Bradbury, Ernest Bradbury, Shirley Bradbury and Alfred Bradbury of Arcola.

Besides the eight children, she leaves three brothers and two sisters, Charles Ashbrook of Maywood, T.N. Ashbrook of Windsor, Shirley Ashbrook of Chicago, Mrs. Julia Ferrall, of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Mrs. Rose Lackey of Arcola.
