Thomas C. Broyles, 78, widely known farmer of the Hickory Tree Community, near Bristol, died Sunday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Clifton Thayer, Abingdon.
The funeral was held Tuesday and burial was in Crumley Cemetery.
Surviving are six children, Mrs. Clifton Thayer, Abingdon; Mrs. Lester Oliver and Louie Broyles, Bristol; Kent Broyles, Marion, Glen Broyles, Hampton, Va., and Paul Broyles, Dayton, Ohio; one sister, Mrs. Nannie Hale, Bristol, and three brothers, John Berry, Chilhowie, Luther Broyles, Elizabethton, Tenn., and Monroe Broyles, Johnson City.
