She is survived by nine children, William C. Davis Sr. and wife Sharon of Denton, Edward J. Christopher and wife Heidi of Henderson, Jeff Christopher and wife Barbi of Greenwood, Del., Frannie Lynch of Easton, Linda Ayers and husband Tom of Goldsboro, Patsy Christopher of Denton, Ethel R. Dill and husband Daniel of Felton, Del., Alice L. Winstead and husband Kevin of Queen Anne, Tracy L. Winstead and husband Mark of Cordova; and brother, Everett (Bud) Hunley of Bridgeville, Del.; 29 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren, great, great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband James M. Christopher.
Mrs. Christopher opened her home and provided care to many elderly people for over 30 years. Later she licensed her home to care for veterans. She was Mom to many always making others feel part of the family. She enjoyed cooking for her family and was very devoted to her children and grandchildren. She loved flowers and feeding her birds, and was an accomplished painter.
A visitation will be held at the Fleegle and Helfenbein Funeral Home, 106 W Sunset Ave, Greensboro, on Sunday, May 29, 2011 from 1 to 2 p.m. The funeral Service will follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment will be in the Greensboro Cemetery, Greensboro. The family request donations to be made to , 1138 Parsons RD, Salisbury, MD 21801.
