Frances Cash
Cleveland, Tenn. - Frances Pullen Cash, 88, formerly of Tupelo and Amory, died Sunday, May 14, 2006, at her home. She was born in Amory to the late Dr. Nathan and Maumee Redman Pullen. She graduated in 1936 from Mississippi State College for Women. She served as secretary to the Lt. Governor of the Panama Canal Zone from 1957-1959. She taught business education for 45 years including 16 years at Hiwassee College in Madisonville, Tenn., and 25 years at Manatee Community College in Bradenton, Fla. She was an Episcopal and a member of the Daughters of the Confederacy. Her husband, George Rangeley Cash, preceded her in death.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Ralph Buckner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include one daughter Melinda Cash Keels of Cleveland, Tenn.; two sons and daughters-in-law; George R. and Helen Cash of Huntsville, Ala., and Donald M. and Barbara Jackson of Cleveland, Tenn.; three grandchildren, Jasonn R. Keels of Knoxville, Tenn., Christy Jackson Roberts of Chattanooga, Tenn., and Marilyn Cash of Huntsville, Ala.; two great-grandchildren, Casey Woods and Ethan Cavanaugh, both of Cleveland, Tenn.; two sisters, Ruth P. Brooks of Tupelo and Eva Grace Jones of Amory; four step-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
The family requests that memorials be made to the Billie Underwood Flynn Scholarship Fund at the MSU College of Veterinary Medicine, payable to MSU Foundation, P.O. Box 9680, Mississippi State MS 39762.
