Thomas Hain died yesterday morning at 4:30 o'clock at the home of his niece, Mrs. Lincoln Zentmyre, 423 Littleton street, West Lafayette. Mr. Hain was 75 years old and had served in the civil war from 1861 to 1865 as a member of the Seventy-second Indiana infantry. He was a member of the G.A.R. and had a great record for courage in battle. His wife died three years ago and he leaves one sister, Mrs. Sarah Miller of Joplin, Mo., and one brother, Leonard Hain of Iowa. Mr. Hain was a member of the Baptist church and had a wide acquaintance throughout this part of the state. Funeral services will be conducted from the West Side Baptist church Wednesday afternoon at 1 o'clock. Rev. G. W. Wilson officiating. Interment will be made in Hebron cemetery.
