Mrs. Bertha Williamson Edenfield, age 65, of Lyons, died Sunday at her residence, after a brief illness.

A native of Treutlen County, Mrs. Edenfield had resided for the past 20 years in Lyons. She was a member of the Mt. Shady Baptist Church.

Mrs. Edenfield is survived by her husband, Carlton Edenfield of Lyons; a daughter, Mrs. Dempsey Coe of Lyons; a son, A.C. Edenfield of Vidalia; three grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Maude Pruitt of Vidalia, Mrs. Sybil Arnold of Macon, and Mrs. Vinie Keeling of California; three brothers, Sol Williamson, Silas Williamson, and Ben Williamson, all of Vidalia, Buford Williamson, of Hoboken, New Jersey, and Clifford Williamson, of Macon; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mrs. Edenfield were held at 3:00 p.m., Monday at the Mt. Shady Baptist Church, with Reverend James Young officiating, assisted by Reverend Paul Edenfield. Interment was in the Mt. Shady Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers were nephews of the deceased, Jerry Williamson, Ronnie Williamson, J.W. Williamson, Vann Edenfield, Larry Edenfield, and Jimmy Edenfield.

Murchison Funeral Home of Vidalia was in charge of the funeral arrangements.
