Mr. Andrew Carlton “A.C.” Edenfield, Jr., age 72, Vidalia, died Tuesday, October 3, 2006, in Greensboro, Georgia.

He was a native of Treutlen County, living most of his life in Montgomery County. He was a retired Enforcement Officer with the State Department of Transportation. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was an avid fisherman. He was a member of the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Imogene C. Edenfield, Vidalia; one son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Nancy Edenfield, Lula; three grandchildren, Adam, Emalee and Sara Grace Edenfield, all of Lula; one sister and brother-in-law, Louise and Gene Moore, Lyons; two nieces, Janet Hester, Rockingham, North Carolina, and Tammie Sikes, Lyons; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services were conducted Thursday, October 5, 2006, at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Murchison Funeral Home with Dr. Keith Tipton and Rev. Dale Fincher officiating. Interment followed in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery in Kibbee.

Active Pallbearers were Jerry Williamson, Larry Edenfield, Bo Willis, Van Edenfield, Earl Williams and Chesley Hilton. Honorary Pallbearers were State Department of Transportation Enforcement Officers.
