Charles R. Lehr, 63, died 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 26, 2005, at York Hospital. He was the husband of Nancy L. (Oerman) Lehr. Born February 21, 1942, in York, he was a son of the late Russell E. and Francis V. (Lake) Lehr. Mr. Lehr was a retired auto mechanic. In addition to his wife, he is survived by four sons, Charles R. Lehr, Jr. and John R. Lehr, both of Windsor, Todd L. Lehr of East Prospect and Kevin L. Lehr of Brogue; a daughter, Peggy A. Davis of Wrightsville; 10 grandchildren; a great-grandson; five brothers, Ronald Lehr of Manchester, Lonnie Lehr of Columbia, Russell Lehr of New Bridgeville, Marlin Lehr of New Freedom and Richard Lehr of Shiloh; and four sisters, Faye Devoe of Seven Valleys, Shirley Schmitt of Freysville, Judy Gregory of Loganville and Wanda Lehr of Bittersville. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Jane Forscht. Funeral Friday at Etzweiler Funeral Home and Cremation Service, York, Rev. Ruby Harkness Sosa, pastor of Locust Street United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial in Fairview Cemetery. [York Daily Record]
