Lonnie R. Lehr, 65, passed peacefully on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at the York Hospital surrounded by his family. He was the loving husband of Linda L. (Livingston) Lehr, York his wife of 46-1/2 years. He was born July 4, 1947 in York, the son of the late Russell and Frances Lehr. Lonnie worked at Fitz Brass and Aluminum Foundry, York; ACCO, York; and most recently at State Farm Insurance, Red Lion. He attended Mt. Zion Potosi United Methodist Church, Potosi, was a member of the Izaak Walton League Chapter 67, Dallastown and a member of the NRA. An avid outdoorsman, Lonnie passed on his love of the outdoors to his daughters and grandchildren teaching them how to hunt and fish. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle. In addition to his wife, Lonnie is survived by his daughters, Lori Lin Starz and husband Joseph of Potosi and Lisa Rae Lehr of York; grandchildren, Tesla Starz of Potosi and Tanner Starz of Scranton; and brothers and sisters: Ronald Lehr of Manchester, Judy Gregory of Jacobus, Shirley Schmid of Red Lion, Richard Lehr of Weiglestown, Marlin Lehr of New Freedom, Russell Lehr, Jr. of Red Lion and Wanda Innerst of Dallastown. He was preceded in death by brothers and sisters: Faye, Charles, Donnie, Diane, Joan and Gene. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Austin H. Eberly Funeral Home, 104 W. Main St., Dallastown, with Rev. Jacqueline Starz officiating. A time to share memories and an opportunity to view will be on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Potosi Cemetery, Glen Rock. Contributions in memory of Lonnie R.
