Hartsville, South Carolina Mary Irene Ritch, 84, of Hartsville died on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 in a Florence hospital after an illness. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Friday, July 26, 2013 in the Chapel of Kistler Hardee Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Magnolia Cemetery in Hartsville. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 PM on Thursday, July 25, 2013 at Kistler Hardee Funeral Home and other times at the home, 2208 Rottwieller Road, Hartsville. Mrs. Ritch was born in Florence, South Carolina. She was the daughter of the late, Whiteford L. Purvis and Mary Elizabeth Turner. Irene loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She loved fishing and her chickens. Irene also enjoyed playing Bingo along with her late friend, Theo Ham. Surviving are her sons, Jimmy A. Jordan; and Mr. and Mrs. Raymond G. Jordan all of Hartsville; her daughter, Susie (Joe) Padgett of Tallahassee, Florida; her grandchildren; Maryann Jordan of Maysville, NC; Jamie Jordan of Columbia, SC; Tommy Jordan of Rockhill, NC; Gina Brady of Tallahassee, Florida; Kenny Strickland of Tallahassee, Florida; and Billy Jordan of Thomasville, Georgia; her 5 great grandchildren; her sisters, Lillian Bigglow; Ulean Baggott; and Minnie Humphries all of Florence; and her faithful canine companion, Tiny.
