*The 1870 census names a Lucy 'Squaw' living with Frank Hanson. She was Native American, which would explain 'white wife' of Frank Hanson above. It is not known what the relationship was between Frank and Lucy...only that she kept house. Frank's daughter Ellen is shown as Ellen 'Squaw'. Ellen was 4 at the time. They were living with 2 other children: Francis and Henry 'Squaw'.
