Most of her family called her Auntie Dear, and I spoke to her sister Judy and asked where that name came from and she said none of the kids could say Ethel, so they called her Auntie Dear and it stayed with her and all the nieces and nephews called her this as well.

**Ethel Margaret Mutchler was born in her father's house that his father Isaiah built. She was born July 11, 1906, to William Isaiah Mutchler and Rebecca Jane Patton, the eight child and the fifth daughter. When she was seven, her family moved to Oceola. In 1922, when she was 16, they moved back to the farm.

Ethel went to Oceola school for the first eight grades. She atteneded Bucyrus High School and grauated in 1925.

She worked for the Bucyrus City School District as secretary to the principla and also for the clerk of the Board of Education. She was also the head of the bookkeeping department at the Second National Bank in Bucyrus.

Ethel married Donald Lamb Haines on Oct. 3, 1942 and he died Sep 11, 1951. She then married Alonzo Bradstock on Aug 20, 1955 and he died Sep 9, 1964. She had no children.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the Wise Funeral Home for Ethel M. Bradstock, 83, formerly of 2155 Stetzer Rd. She died at 7:15 p.m. Wednesday, May 16, 1990 in Altercare Nursing Home (formerly Oakwood Manor) following a lengthy illness. Mrs. Bradstock was bom July 11, 1906 in Tod Township, Crawford County, to William I. and Rebecca Jane Patton Mutchler. She was married Oct. 3, 1942 to Donald Haines, who preceded her in death Sept. 11, 1951. She then married Alonzo Bradstock Aug. 20, 1955. He also preceded her in death, Sept. 9, 1964. Surviving are three stepchildren, Robert B. Bradstock, Venice, Fla, Richard L. Bradstock, Burbank, Calif., and Norman E. Bradstock, Worthington, a brother, Dwight L. Mutchler, Iberia, two sisters, Mary Mutchler Lust, Bucyrus, and Goldie Mutchler Leonard, Bucyrus, and five step-grandchildren. Preceding her in death were four brothers, Jesse, Russell, Paul and Fred L. Mutchler, and two sisters, Flora Mutchler Bash and Sylvia Mutchler Miller. A 1925 graduate of Bucyrus High School, Mrs. Bradstock was retired and had worked for Bucyrus City School District as secretary to the principal from 1926-36 and for the clerk of the Board of Education from 1936-62. She was then head of the bookkeeping department at the Second National Bank (Trustcorp) from 1963-71. A lifelong area resident, she was a member of Woodlawn United Methodist Church, the American Legion Auxiliary 181 and the Bucyrus Auto Club. Memorial contributions may be made to the Woodlawn Methodist Church through the funeral home. Friends may visit Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home. Rev. Richard L. Glass will officiate and burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
