He was born Nov. 30, 1910, in Branchton, Pa, to Richard and Minnie McMurry Duffy. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, the former Harriett Hartzell. They were married April 13, 1935.
Mr. Duffy lived in New Castle from 1936 to 1951. He worked at Shenango China.
He was a steelworker at Kaiser Steel Corp. in Fontana, retiring after 25 years of service. He was a member and former deacon of Westside Baptist Church in Fontana. He was a member of Masonic Lodge No. 653 of Fontana.
Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Delio (JoAn) Hernandez and Mrs. Judith McLinn, both of Fontana; two sons, Richards Duffy of Fontana and John Duffy of Riverside, Calif.; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today in Green Acres Mortuary, 11715 Cedar Ave., Bloomington, Calif. A service will be conducted at 10 a.m. tomorrow in the mortuary.
Interment will be in Green Acres Memorial Park, Bloomington.
