Previously had married on September 17, 1753 in Pennsylvania. This date is the date that Peter Janson (believed to be Peter Johnson) arrived in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania aboard the Ship Richard and Mary, from Rotterdam, last from Cowes. The manifest lists only males over sixteen years of age, so his family may have been on that ship at the same time.

Some researchers suggest Mary Polly Phillips may have been Peter Johnson's second wife.

It is believed that Mary Polly Phillips Johnson and Peter Johnson are buried in Round Hill Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Elizabeth, Allegheny, Pennsylvania.

Round HIll administrator said no Johnstons from early 1800s are buried in Round Hill Cemetery.
**If Round Hill Cemetery is not the correct cemetery, please let me know so I can get her properly placed. Her burial place may or may not be on their farm.
