Andrew served in the war of 1812. He married Sarah Henry in 1814, and they had two children, William and Sarah, before her death in 1817. His occupation was real estate broker.
In 1819, he married his second wife,Sarah "Sallie" Robinson, daughter of Thomas and Margaret (Patterson)Robinson of Westmoreland county, with whom he had the following children: Elizabeth, Martha, Mary, John, Matthew, Andrew, Samuel, Rev. N.G.H., Margaret and Clarissa.
Buried at Round Hill, also, are John, Thomas, Mary (Mrs. Levi Edmundson), Dr. Samuel R., Margaret (Mrs. Joseph Peairs), Martha (Mrs. Andrew McKinley), Clarissa/Clara and Matthew D. Daughter Elizabeth lived at Elizabeth and might yet be there, too. Noah last lived at Philadelphia PA and Andrew moved out west residing in California and Nevada.
Before his death in 1879, Andrew held the office of elder in the Presbyterian Church over sixty years.
