There is an unmarked grave to the right of Sarah Virginia "Jennie" Fitzpatrick, second wife of Jeff Fitzpatrick, and to the left of Iva May Fitzpatrick Woodard, daughter of Jeff's second marriage. Representatives of this cemetery stated that the space for Virginia was purchased on the day of her burial. The other spaces near Virginia were purchased later. Representatives of this cemetery stated that the space could not be sold due to the fact there could be a burial, however, this has not been confirmed.

Since confirmation cannot be made for Samuel Jefferson "Jeff" Fitzpatrick near Columbia, this memorial is being added to Arlington Cemetery to link with his family members; although it is not logical that this family lived in this area at the time of Jeff's death. He is probably buried near Columbia because this space was not purchased until the day of the burial of his wife Jennie Akin Fitzpatrick in July 1930.
