Ethel Luiza Hicks Starbuck, 92, of Pinnacle, passed away on Thursday, July 18, 2013.
She was born on May 30, 1921, to the late John William Hicks and Fannie Corina Sams Hicks.
She was of the Baptist faith and a member of Gospel Baptist Church, Pinnacle, NC. She retired from RJ Reynolds after 30 years of service.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Janice Ilene Starbuck Nunn; two sisters, Ada Lineberry and Mary Lineberry; five brothers, Alfred Hicks, Harvey Hicks, John Henry Hicks, Paul Hicks and Frank Hicks.
Surviving to cherish her memory are her two sisters, Myrtle Starbuck and Ada Frances Starbuck Milby and husband Kenneth David; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters-in law, Blanche Ratcliff and Inez Hicks.
The family will receive friends Saturday, July 20, 2013 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Cox-Needham Funeral Home.
A graveside service will be on Sunday, July 21, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Brims Grove Baptist Church Cemetery conducted by Bro. Kyle Samuels. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
