St. Marys Star, Jan.9, 1964:
Claude A. Ulrich, 83, a retired St. Marys businessman, died Dec. 31 at a Topeka hospital.

Born at Peabody, Nov.11, 1880, Mr. Ulrich for many years operated a recreation parlor here. He moved to Topeka four years ago.

He was married to Ellen Catherine Mainey at the Immaculate Conception Church on Jan. 20, 1904. Mrs. Ulrich died April 16, 1957. Mr. and Mrs. Ulrich celebrated their Golden Wedding anniversary in January 1954, in St. Marys.

The requiem mass was held Friday at Immaculate Conception Church with interment in Mount Calvary Cemetery by the Verschelden Funeral Home.

Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Catherine Pitt, North Hollywood, Calif.; Mrs. Helen Marx, Miss Lucille Ulrich, and Mrs. Mary Hanrahan, all of Topeka.
Two sons, J.L. Ulrich and Leo Ulrich, both of Topeka; two brothers: B.F. Ulrich, Topeka; Harry Raine, Wamego; a sister: Mrs. Bertha Chase, seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Pall bearers: Eugene Beseau, Don Hanrahan, Robert Hanrahan, Bernard Hanrahan, William Mainey, Jim Kinderknecht.
