John Sedelmaier

Grand Ledge, May 6--John Sedelmaier, 65, died Friday and the services occurred Sunday at 2:30 o'clock at the Free Methodist church, where the Rev. Quitman Smith of Grand Ledge, former pastor and the present minister, the Rev. J. A. Hudnut, officiated. Burial at Oakwood. He is survived by his widow to whom, he was married about two years ago, and eight children by his former wife. The children are: Mrs. Thomas Kill, Henry Sedelmaier, Mrs. Ruth Kelley, and Mrs. Sadie Brouder, all of Grand Ledge; Charles and Pearl Sedelmaier at home, Otto of Mulliken, and John of Kalamazoo. Mr. Sedelmaier who has always been an industrious man of this locality, connected with local clay factories, also leaves one brother, Henry of this city and one half-brother Eli Meiers of Mason.

NOTES: I'm a grandson of the Henry mentioned above. The Eli Meiers actually should be spelled Mire. Also,in my research I refer to this John as (2nd) John, and his son as (3rd) John to differentiate the several John Sedelmaier's in the family.
