Interment was in New Ogden Cemetery under the direction of Winnsboro First National Home.
He was a native of Winn Parish and had resided in Franklin Parish for the past 33 years. He was a retired farmer and a member of Temple Baptist Church.
Survivors include four sons, James H. Rolen, David W. Rolen, both of Winnsboro, Herman H. Rolen, Seagraves, Tex., Louis W. Rolen, El Paso, Tex., one daughter, Mrs. Francis Elaine Arnold, Baton Rouge; two brothers; John Rolen, Many and George Rolen, Bunkie; three sisters, Mrs. Areatha [sic Aretha] Warner, Winnsboro, Mrs. Bell Buchans [sic Buchan], Jonesboro, and Mrs. Bertha Bratton, West Monroe, 15 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Virgil Dampier, Herbert Furr, Henry P. Rolen, Nathan Humphries, Mark Ingram and Kenneth Ingram.
