A frequent Lima visitor, she was a native of Newton County, Ind. Her husband, Daniel W. Markley, died in 1934. She was a member of Trinity Methodist Church here.
Surviving besides her son are a daughter, Mrs. Bernadetta Peterman, Indianapolis; two brothers, Harley Padgett, Brook, Ind., and Denver Padgett, Morocco, Ind.; three sisters, Mrs. Earl Rich, Eatou Rapids, Mich.; Mrs. C. E. Corbin, Richmond, Va., and Mrs. Harry Billings, Morocco, Ind., and three grandchildren.
The body will remain in the Chiles & Son Funeral Home where friends may call after 3 p.m. Sunday. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the chapel, the Rev. Dr. J. Ira Jones officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be John Phillips, James Barth, E. Perry Webb, Dr. H. C. Weisenbarger, Dr. James Johnson and Dr. H. R. Stallbohm.
